Moderation team
Respect the members of the moderation team, as well as their decisions. If you have an issue or you notice suspicious behaviour or people who do not follow the rules, please contact the moderation team, who will take care of these situations.
Regarding tickets, any request involving the loss of a dinosaur (suspicious death, bug, another player’s behaviour) requires proof. Without video proof (Medal, F2, Steam Record, ShadowPlay, OBS…), or a photo in some cases, we do not restore dinosaurs.
Here are the Blood Moon rules; please read them in full to understand the event and how to take part within the rules.
🌕What is it?
The Blood Moon is a mini-event that only Blublue, SiinMora or Kilucru can trigger at any time on the server.
This event is in fact a manhunt. We can configure the reward as well as the duration of the event before it starts.
🌕How does it work?
When the event starts, a message appears on every player's screen showing the nickname of the person to eliminate.
The target will also receive a message reading: "You are hunted for X minutes."
The goal is simple: if the target is eliminated within the time limit, the player who gets the kill receives the bounty. If the target survives until the end of the time limit, they receive double the reward initially placed on their head.
Example: starting bounty: 5,000 → if the target survives: they receive 10,000.
🌕Awarding the kill
Note that if several people attack the target: the last person to have hit them will get the kill. If the target dies from bleeding, the kill will also be awarded to the last person who hit them.
🌕If I don't want to take part
Since the target is chosen at random, several options are possible if you do not wish to take part:
- ◆Put your dinosaur to safety and take another character.
- ◆Die naturally (fall, environment, etc.).
- ◆Ask an administrator to be removed from the event. In that case, we will re-run the draw to designate a new target.
🌕Rules during the event
For the whole duration of the Blood Moon (for example 20 minutes), the server switches to No Rules mode ONLY towards the hunted player (and their group if it has chosen to protect them). That is to say, if you do not take part in the hunt, you MUST absolutely follow the rules.
This means that several groups of dinosaurs can pursue the same target, that several players can work together to hunt them, and that no grouping or temporary alliance will be penalized during the event. You cannot kill your rivals.
Once the event is over (whether the target died or survived), the usual server rules take effect again immediately.
🌕Truce between hunters
Every Blood Moon zone, regulation hunts included (500 m around the target), is a truce zone: every player inside it counts as a hunter, except the target, their group and the exceptions below. The website map and the overlay show it with a slight delay: the in-game warning is what counts.
Hitting a hunter, even to fight back, triggers an in-game warning naming them. Killing them after that warning lowers your reputation.
- ◆A hunter killed by accident while you were both hitting the target is not penalized.
- ◆If several Blood Moons run at the same time, the targets may fight each other freely.
🌕Blood Moon info: restitution and sanctions
If you kill a dino of the same species as the hunted target: restitution and sanction NOT due.
If you kill a dino of a different species from the hunted target: restitution and sanction DUE.
To validate these criteria, you MUST provide a screenshot of the map showing where the death happened, which must be inside the hunt zone, along with a clip of the kill.
- ◆Exception: dinos in a herd are not covered by this restitution / sanction.
- ◆Reminder: Deinosuchus and Herrerasaurus are not bound by these rules. They are opportunistic dinos: they may attack and be attacked during the Blood Moon.
🌕What if I am part of the target's group?
You have 2 options:
- ◆Either you stay in their group and must help them survive at all costs, at the risk of your own life.
- ◆Or you LEAVE the group and hunt them. You must warn them that you are no longer their ally, but their worst enemy (is there anything worse in the world than the betrayal of a loved one you trusted? Not cool, man).
🌕Finally
No worries, this will remain an occasional event and will not be abusive. The goal is simply to add a bit of tension, action and fun to the server.
